Crisis Center
A gift to the Crisis Center Fund will help the agency continue to serve people who are in crisis for generations to come through seven programs under its auspices. Crisis Center's Counseling Services operates on a sliding fee scale and professional services are available within three days. The Crisis Center's hotline—Crisis Contact—is available to children, adults, and families 24 hours a day, every day of the year, FREE. Reassurance Contact is a free program that provides telephone safety checks for senior citizens and disabled persons who live alone. Project Safe Place provides access to immediate help and supportive resources for young people in crisis ages 6 - 17. Alternative House is a place where boys and girls, ages 6 - 18 can receive temporary shelter and safely work through family problems. Youth as Resources Program provides mini-grants ranging from $50 to $500 to local youth groups who initiate and carry out a community service project. Teen Court is a project in which youth volunteers act as jurors, bailiffs, clerks, defense and prosecuting attorneys, and determine the sentence for juvenile offenders referred by police. Sentences require community service, restitution, apologies or other learning opportunities.

Drifting Dunes Girl Scout Council
By donating to the Drifting Dunes Girl Scout Council Fund you can help girls grow strong through Girl Scouting in Lake County Indiana for generations to come. The Nazareth Home, established in 1993 is a licensed foster home which accommodates up to six children from infancy through age five. All of the children are medically compromised and are placed by the Lake County Department of Children and Family Services until they are able to be reunited with their families, adopted or reach the age where they need to be placed in another long-term foster home.
