| Giving to an Existing Agency Endowment Fund ARTS & CULTURE South Shore Arts South Shore Arts is a regional not-for-profit arts organization whose purpose is to create and strengthen connections between the socially and culturally diverse communities of Northwest Indiana and south suburban Chicago. To support the mission of South Shore Arts, contributions may be made to the South Shore Arts Endowment Fund. Not only does South Shore Arts exhibit local, regional, national and international artists and cultures, this nonprofit organization offers classes in all media for pre-school children through adults, lectures, readings and bus tours, children's performances, and educational outreach programs, which take South Shore Arts artists and instructors into the classrooms and bring students from the Hammond, East Chicago and Gary schools to the Art Center for free after-school arts instruction. Chorus Angelorum Chorus Angelorum performs musical masterworks in Lake County. An Endowment Fund to provide operating support for Chorus Angelorum was established in 1999 through a charitable remainder trust by an anonymous donor. Gifts are welcomed to support this musical treasure. Northwest Indiana Symphony Northwest Indiana Symphony's Endowment Fund was established by Donald Wray in memory of his wife Violet Hayes Wray. Violet was the first officially accepted member of the Gary Symphony and played in its first performance on December 7, 1941. Gifts are welcomed to support this cultural community asset. Southlake Children's Choir Southlake Children's Choir Fund was established in 1995. Founded in 1984, the Southlake Children's Choir (SCC) provides a rewarding choral experience for young singers throughout Northwest Indiana. The choir is made up of eighty vocalists, ages seven through fifteen. Gifts are welcome to support the mission of the Southlake Children's Choir, which is to provide a premier choral experience for children and audiences throughout the region by performing quality literature with excellence, providing age appropriate voice training for treble singers, helping children build confidence and poise through performance, and inspiring a lifetime of musical involvement. St. John the Baptist Church Organ An anonymous donor established a fund to support the maintenance and tuning of the organ at St. John the Baptist Church (Whiting). Contributions are welcome.
